So my last project in flash is now out. I've been debating whether to quit flash entirely aftewards. Even as I was working on Reality End I would take breaks from flash averaging about 8 months at a time.
Theres a part of me that really wants to learn more actionscript and make a far better game within the same universe. Another part of me wants to quit flash, learn an entirely new program, and do the game that way instead, and finally I also want to quit making stuff entirely as well.
I suppose the reception I get for Reality End is why I posted this, I want anyone reading this to play Reality End if they haven't, and if they have, let me know whether they'd want to see more of this story or not.
Reality End is literally just the end. It is the end of a story that is much bigger than what you can see in the game. I already have a solid idea of what the prequel would play like and be like in general, but whether I make that prequel or not may depend on how well Reality End does.
I remember going into this project thinking I wanted to make something front-page worthy on newgrounds. Is it front-page worthy? I don't know, to be honest I doubt it, but I also haven't used newgrounds for years and years. Things have changed, maybe I still don't have what it takes to make something frontpaged. I stopped caring about that though, and ended up caring more about finishing my project. A project which took so long you can see my art style, animations and design improve and change throughout the game.
I've come quite a ways from what I made a decade ago, and perhaps I will stop here. We'll see.
